Aged Care Changes Are Coming. Act Before 1 July 2025

If you or a loved one are likely to need additional support through home care or residential aged care within the next 12 months, now is the time to start planning.

From 1 July 2025, a new Aged Care Act will come into effect, introducing greater means testing and higher fees for people considered able to contribute more towards their care.

While the changes will not affect anyone already receiving a Home Care Package (HCP) or currently in residential aged care, anyone entering the system from 1 July 2025 onwards will be subject to the new rules and fee structure.

For some families, the financial impact could be significant.
